Vodka is made from fermented grain such as rye or wheat, potatoes, or other substances through multiple distillations. Its origins are uncertain but most people believe it was first created in the region around western Russia.Before the 8th century, Vodka rarely exceeded 14% alcohol although today the number is usually around 40%.
